EdConnect 2025 Breaks Ground as a Landmark Convergence of Libraries, Learning, and Innovation

Quezon City, Philippines — Education took center stage last June 26–27, 2025, as C&E ALS EdConnect 2025 marked a historic moment with the merging of the 17th CE-Logic National Conference and the 1st EdTech Summit. Held at Seda Vertis North, Quezon City, this two-day event brought together 276 librarians, educators, school heads, IT directors, and edtech innovators in a bold, future-focused celebration of collaboration, transformation, and lifelong learning.

Organized by C&E Adaptive Learning Solutions (C&E ALS), EdConnect 2025 delivered a dynamic lineup of plenary addresses, expert-led parallel sessions, product showcases, and a nostalgia-packed 2000s-themed fellowship night—fusing professional insight with community engagement.

“Today is more than just a gathering; it is a convergence of legacy and innovation,” said John Emyl G. Eugenio, Chief Operating Officer of C&E ALS. “As your technology solutions partner, our goal for this conference is to offer insights and innovations that can support your institution’s journey toward digital transformation.”

Twin Tracks, One Vision: Future-Ready Learning

The summit featured two parallel tracks tailored for distinct yet interconnected audiences.

Track 1 (EdTech Summit) focused on driving institutional digital transformation. Day 1 included a keynote by Dr. Juan Robertino Macalde of SEAMEO-INNOTECH, discussing leadership in the EdTech ecosystem. Prof. April Joy Gascon and the University of Santo Tomas EdTech Center team shared insights on building a cloud-connected campus infrastructure. Derrick Cham, Head of AI Solutions at RGE Digital, spoke on artificial intelligence, big data, and aligning with global educational standards. Dr. Christine Nabor-Ferrer of the Commission on Higher Education rounded out the day with a session on leadership in digital transformation for higher education institutions.

Dr. Magdeline Ng of the National University of Singapore spoke on achieving global visibility in research. Engr. Ericson Dimaunahan of Mapúa University presented strategies for building digital resilience in libraries, while Prof. Paulo Paje of the University of the Philippines System tackled the strategic application of big data in library systems.

Fellowship, Fun, and Forward Thinking

Beyond formal sessions, participants explored the Networking & Solutions Showcase, completed the Passport Activity, and visited the Solutions Engineering Lounge for personalized tool recommendations, product trials, and feedback sessions.

In the evening, the event transformed into the “Rewind-Ed” Fellowship Night, celebrating 2000s pop culture with games, raffles, and live music, solidifying the community spirit behind EdConnect.

Big Ideas, Bold Futures: The Plenary Fireside Chat

On Day 2, attendees enjoyed a special plenary presentation by Gerric Gomez, Vice President for Business Development and Growth Markets at C&E ALS. His session provided a comprehensive look at the C&E ALS Ecosystem, spanning print, digital, and platform-driven learning innovations designed to support Philippine institutions at all levels.

EdConnect 2025 culminated in a powerful plenary fireside chat, “Summit Wrap-Up: The Big Ideas Reshaping Libraries and Classrooms.” This cross-sector conversation featured thought leaders discussing key ideas influencing the future of learning and the essential role of leadership and collaboration in transformation.

Panelists represented various sectors, including Dr. Julie Ann A. Salido of Aklan State University for research, Dr. Benhur A.
